NOURISHMENT
The food we lovingly create in our homes nourishes both our bodies and our souls. Each season has it’s particular cravings and desires. Feeding your body what it craves is the perfect way to live in rhythm with the seasons. Warmer weather has us longing for juicy fruits and quickly cooked meals, while cooler weather brings to mind slow cooked meals and grounding root veggies with a bright pop of citrus.

Our environment imbues each moment with personality. Autumn is full of cozy blankets and warm scents, while spring may have vases of flowering branches and windows open to the crisp green breeze of fresh growth. Atmosphere is more than just the physical world around you, but also your inner world…the music you listen to, the books you read, the way spent your precious free time.

MINDSET
Each season calls us to different ways of thinking and moving through life. We can’t sustain the wild growth of summer year round, in the same way that never waking from winter’s slumber wouldn’t do. A life well lived is one lived in accordance with the needs of each season in it’s own time. We prepare and slow down in autumn. We hibernate and rest in winter. We burst forth and blossom in spring. We play and enjoy the fruits of our labor all summer.

My list of seasonal favorites grows every year as I become more attuned to the grounding practice of seasonal traditions. Each month you’ll find my favorite books, a new playlist, handicrafts, home goods, adventure ideas and plain old favorites for a simple and seasonal life, well lived.

My nutrition philosophy is to eat the widest possible range of foods of the highest quality possible. We eat high quality dairy, meat, wheat, sugar, etc. and include them all in our homemade recipes. You can expect nourishing food that tastes delicious and I will give substitution suggestions whenever possible!

With your membership you will get a downloadable PDF that you could print yourself if you wanted! The recipes will also be printer friendly recipe pages with no photos and simple text. You can print and collect your favorite recipes over time!

No, absolutely not! The recipes will be simple enough for a beginner cook to make in their kitchen! I promise, after a month or two of regularly cooking, you’ll be humming your way through veggie chopping :)

Nope! The meal plans are meant to be inspirational rather than followed exactly. I will give so many options for using what you have on hand or using ingredients in different ways if you have leftovers which means that an exact shopping list would be unneccesary! I want you to feel freedom and encouragement with these meal plans and recipes to make them your own and make them fit YOUR family.

There will almost NEVER be a recipe that will take more than 30 minutes of hands on preparation time. We keep it simple and want to live our life outside of the kitchen as well! Many of our recipes are set it and forget it type cooking where you leave the ingredients to bubble away for a few hours in your dutch oven or slow cooker. We love to eat in our home, but we don’t want to be cooking all day!
