Spring Mineral Tonic

For obvious reasons, I don’t drink many chilled beverages throughout the winter months. I prefer warm cups of honeyed tea and milky matcha lattes. As soon as our afternoons turn warm, I start craving something fruity, crisp, and bubbly with a few ice cubes floating throughout. I also start thinking about keeping our mineral stores up as we move into months of more sweat, more exertion, more movement. Enter the spring mineral tonic, which honestly stays in rotation until cold afternoons are the norm. It gives a proper ratio of sodium and potassium which is crucial for thousands of body processes that get out of whack every time we sweat, or stress, or eat in a less nourishing way. Feel free to tweak and refine to fit your tastes, but you’d be surprised how you start craving it every afternoon when you hit your energy slump!
