Herby Dill Sauce

There are few things (besides baked goods ;) that bring me as much joy in the kitchen than fresh herbs snipped from our own pots. We don’t have a garden set up at our new home just yet, but we made sure to plant our favorite herbs in some huge clay pots on our back porch. My girls’ favorite way to help cook is to snip a handful of fresh herbs to compliment whatever we’re making for dinner. Dill doesn’t seem like it would be that useful, but I find myself using it so often. It thrives in summery temps which makes sense because it pairs so well with all the summer produce! I love chopping some up and stirring it through a bowl of yogurt with some grated garlic for a simple herby yogurt dip.

Ingredients:

1 cup plain greek yogurt

2 tablespoons (or so) of finely chopped fresh dill

1 clove of garlic, finely grated

salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Mix all of the ingredients together in an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to a week! So good with meatballs, veggie slices or spread on a sandwich.
