Chocolate Mineral Milk

Something about March puts me in mind of a nice glass of chocolate milk rather than the same hot chocolate I’ve been adoring for the last few months. I like to make up a big batch to keep in the fridge for a few days of enjoyment. Of course, beautiful cacao powder is full of minerals on it’s own and high quality grass-fed milk is incredibly nutrient dense. I take it a step further and add a pinch of high quality sea salt, some collagen powder and colostrum for extra nutrients, but these are entirely optional!

Ingredients:

4 cups milk

1/3 cup collagen

(optional, but adds protein!)

1/3 cup cacao powder

(we love this brand!)

1/2 cup maple syrup

a pinch of sea salt

optional: 2 tablespoons colostrum (we love this brand!)

Directions:

Place all of the ingredients in a high powdered blender and blend! You’ll get a nice and frothy drink with lots of bubbles at first, but the bubbles will disappear after an hour or so. Pour into a jar and drink within 3-4 days. Enjoy!
