Basil Pesto

Everyone needs a simple pesto recipe. I prefer my pestos without pine nuts, honestly beause I never have them on hand! This is one of those non-recipe recipes that gives you freedom to taste your way through and make it your own. Have fun!


Ingredients:

2 packed cup basil leaves

1/2 cup olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

2 cloves of garlic

juice from a lemon

1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan


Directions:

In a high speed blender, put all of the pesto ingredients. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
