Garlic & Herb Bread

I mean, garlic bread needs no introduction. Many of us who grew up in the 90's only knew garlic bread as thick Texas Toast from a cardboard box. This garlic bread is not that. It is the best version of garlic bread that is lightly kissed with fresh garlic, toasty from the butter, and fresh tasting from the chopped parsley. You’ll find yourself serving this with every meal in need of a toothsome carbohydrate to scoop with.

Ingredients:

Makes 8 servings

1 baguette or loaf of French bread, split in half lengthwise

6 tablespoons butter, softened

4 garlic cloves, finely minced

1 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped

1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with the garlic, parsley, and salt. Use a knife to smear the butter mixture evenly over the open half of the bread. Put it on a parchment lined baking sheet and pop it in the oven for 5-10 minutes. It should be golden and toasty, but not too crispy. Cut into slices and enjoy!
