Herbed Alfredo Pasta
Pasta is a weekly staple in our home. More often than not it’s my easy button dinner, the one I can make with my eyes closed with the ingredients we always have in our fridge and pantry. Every so often I use our pasta night as an opportunity to try something a bit different, but familiar enough that the kids are up for it. This herby Alfredo sauce is bright and tangy in the best ways, but savory and rich enough to cling to the pasta like a classic Alfredo. It’s a family favorite for a reason!
Ingredients:
Makes 4 servings
Creamy Herb Sauce:
1 cup fresh herbs such as basil
½ cup yogurt
½ cup half and half
¼ cup freshly grated parmesan
pinch of salt
1 clove of garlic
4 servings of pasta (cooked fresh)
Directions:
In a blender, combine the herb sauce ingredients until uniform. Set it aside while you cook the pasta. When it’s done drain the water and add back in the pot with the creamy herb sauce. Stir it well and taste for salt. Serve warm with more grated parmesan. Enjoy!
